TCG Map-Optics

TCG Map-Optics is a client tool used within INOVA GIS Platform environment. It is available as an integral part of TeleCAD-GIS and as a standalone application. It is a tool for direct viewing, analysis and management of fiber-optics network infrastructure stored in the GIS database. It access directly to the data in the GIS database and it is intended to be used by wide spectrum of users within telecom operator.

Data is presented in a comprehensible, graphical way in a form of dynamic map that displays infrastructure as a schematic infrastructure diagram synchronized with infrastructure map. Details range from cables and nodal elements geometry to every single fiber circuit connection, from drop cable through cable service area to entire country network.

Map includes specialized tools such as: OTDR tool that enables finding of an outage location and calculating power budget; tracing available path between two or more network elements while applying user given criteria or proposing technical solution if such path does not exist.

TCG Map-Optics can perform similar functions whether used within TeleCAD-GIS or as a standalone application.
